And you thought we’d lost the ability to type, well no, we’ve just been so preoccupied with Scotland’s biggest game ever (!) that we clean forgot. But now we’ve remembered so forgiveness is ours.
The news in FFL is that Shamu’s Killer Whales continue to lead the way with an 18 point lead over I Only Want to Beat Colin who seem safe in 2nd. Big points this week come from erstwhile MoM (last year) Bracknell Town and Good Will Overcome Evil This Season who continue to hunt their rivals Real Sosobad.
The Play Offs
The snidey play offs that make our job easier, but do no managers any favours. I hear you. However, its back to sea with a splash for Leyon Orient Expressway as they crash out before the first round proper. As well as Niall, its bye bye to Norfolk Enchance in the Cup. In the trophy its Dr Oy’s 11 and Ma Spoon is too Big who carsh out to Saint in the City and We Will Live Like Kings.
Sorry to y’all but at least youc an concentrate on the league, manager of the months and the super 16s - still plenty to play for.
First round proper of the Cup and Trophy is not far away - 1st December - we’ll get the draw made next week to allow plenty of time for fiddling and tinkering.
So now its time for Scotland to turn over the Italians - get in there!
A closely fought competition this month but the winner of the coveted mug is Leyton Orient Expressway - congratulations to Niall McCarthy - one to enjoy in the aquarium perhaps?
Close but no cigar this month were Dublin Bhoy, Everybody Needs a Break, The Triple M’s Boys, I only want to beat Colin and One Pound Flyaways.
And november’s comp is already in full flow
Yes I know I know, we’ll get started properly soon, but before we do we need two playoffs in each competition. With 66 teams currently in each, we need to get this down to 64 so we can start a straightforward knockout. So the unlucky few are:
FFL Cup
FFL Trophy
Games to be played this weekend , 10th November. Click on the fixtures for a Head-to-Head!
With the Big Cheese on holiday this week, Week 11 will follow promptly next week, along with October’s Manager of the Month.
Oh and do you like the new ‘Recent Transfers’ jazz on the front page? Hopefully brings it to life a bit, and inspires some of you to make some transfers!!
Cheers
Iain
They are on, at the Cup tab, and quite unbelievably there are no replays required. So if you have won like A Team Less Ordinary, Floaters, Charlotte’s Elevens Times Two, El Capitan, (plate holders) Sparta (how does he do it??), Geordies United and Strike Force to mention a few then you are heading for the big boys comp THE CUP.
If you lost, you may skulk avec your tail between your legs like ‘Mon the Dons, 1910 was a great year, Forza Salami, Dastardly & Mutley, This is How I Roll or Saint in the City amongst others.
Round 1 for each comp in which only 4 teams in each comp will play, will happen on 10 November, lets hope you dont get pulled out the hat.
