Well, in reverse - in week 6 we had our unsolicited attack from (Boo!-gle).
Then in week 7 we had a manager of the month award to Gregor Steele, manager of high flying Real Sosobad - incidentally his mug was subsequently kidnapped and held to ransom -happily since returned unharmed. Shows how popular these mugs are
Week 8 - Shamu’s Killer Whales took over the lead with I Only Want to beat Chris doing significantly more than that in 2nd after 2 great weeks.
And now, it will week number 9 and we’re feeling fine
Truly the Michael Owen of websites, we spent most of last week recovering from a reckless two-footed challenge by Google (it’s a long story, but trust me it was their fault!). Following that I did however manage to work on a few website tweaks.
Firstly, weekly points are back (hurrah!). The league table and team pages now show points scored this week, as well as total points. Simon is the most pleased of all about this, as it gives him some extra amo for the weekly chat!
You’ll also notice above the table/team sheet ‘Points up to Week…’ indicating the current ‘live’ week, so you can easily tell if the new points are out yet. Click on the week number to get a summary of the weeks points, top scoring teams, top scoring players, and also a fixture list. Click on a fixture to get a full list of stats for each player. You can also browse to past weeks and matchdays.
Remember those pretty little graphs you used to see on your team page? They’ll be back soon, now that we’ve nailed the weekly points.
Finally, you can now change your password, so when you forget it and the system resets it to some horrible unmemorable number, you can switch it right back (hopefully something you wont forget this time!). Just go to your profile page (click your name in the top-right), and then ‘Edit your details’.
The International Break will give us a chance to sort out the Cup Draw (and maybe get some sleep as well), don’t forget the first round is to be played on October 20th. Tune in next week to see who you’ll be playing, and maybe make a strategic transfer or two. Check out the Cup section for details of the competitions’ format.
cheers,
Iain
